Rental Qualifications and Requirements

The German Ministry of the Environment has introduced Environmental Zones in certain German cities.

All vehicles entering these zones must display a sticker indicating the emission class of the vehicle.

All Hertz Germany registered vehicles carry this sticker. However Hertz vehicles rented in other countries do not carry this sticker.

Vehicles not displaying such a sticker may be fined € 40.00.

This fine applies to all German licenced vehicles and also to all vehicles licenced outside Germany.
