The following forms of payment are accepted when booking on the websites: most major credit cards, some debit cards* and the Hertz Charge Card (HCC).
* If you made your booking with a debit card, you will need to present the debit card and one or more credit cards (depending on the vehicle group), when picking up the vehicle. However you may opt to pay by other means at termination of the rental, subject to specific terms & conditions being met.
Acceptable debit cards must carry a VISA OR MASTERCARD/EUROCARD Logo.
Visa Electron, any Entertainment cards, Maestro cards, Cirrus, Electronic use Only, paycards, prepaid cards (for example Paypass, Compte Nickel, Mozaic ...) or virtual cards are not acceptable debit cards.
The following vehicles cannot be rented with a debit card:
(E1) Renault Scenic e-Tech or similar
(G5) Alpine A110
(Q5) Volvo XC60 or similar
For all bookings, the person in whose name the vehicle is booked MUST be the person whose credit card is used. The person who makes the booking MUST be the person to whom the vehicle is rented. The renter MUST produce the same credit card when picking up the vehicle that was used for the booking for identification and security reasons. If the card originally used has expired, been lost/stolen, you must produce the replacement card from the same card issuer. The card must be in your name and the issue / expiry dates should correspond to those of the original card.
Exceptions:
- Travel agent bookings where IATA number is present and the travel agent’s credit card is used to pay for the rental;
- Third party bookings through an on-line retailer provided the booking is made in the name of the person who will pick up the vehicle and he/she is qualified accordingly;
- Corporate account bookings made with a Corporate Lodge card.

General information
- Valid Amex Centurion (Black), Amex Platinum, Hertz Platinum, Hertz President Circle or Hertz Five Star credit cards are acceptable for all rentals.
- At Corporate locations and selected Licensee locations, the Airplus (AIR) card is accepted for all vehicle groups for corporate customers (with CDP number) and/or for customers with Hertz Gold Plus Rewards profile.
- American Express Purchasing - also called Lodge Card (AXP) is available only for corporate customers with a Hertz Gold Plus Rewards profile or Applicant Programme for non prepaid rates in corporate locations.

- Not allowed on Affordable Programs.
- Qualifications (as above) will be required.
- A deposit of € 300.00 (including tax) plus a fuel tank.
